She is named in memory of the real "Gazella II", a rich chestnut mare with flashy markings who was bred in Poland and was seized by the Red Army in 1939 and taken to Tersk Stud. Her influence on arabian horse breeding is incomparable.

As many of you already know, Billie is widely known for her intricate and amazingly detailed appy patterns. However, this model shows that she is equally at home painting a superbly detailed flea-bitten grey. She spent hours and hours applying all the individual hair strokes which comprise the flea-bitten grey pattern.
